An Old Line on the Horizon Part 2

Tuesday, March 31st, 2009 @ 5:32 am | Artists

I took a little heat for this post, in which I complained about more than praised U2’s new album, No Line on the Horizon. If you’ll recall, one of my chief complaints with the album is that it really presents nothing new; instead, I claimed that U2 is kind of rewriting their greatest hits.  It seems that they are comfortable with this, as this interview from Pitchfork.com seems to point out.  Notice the line about “chopping down the Joshua Tree.”  Was I onto something or what?

Anyone else think Bono is looking more and more like Phil Collins?
