God is indeed a “Healer”
This recent news really saddens me. I’m reminded of a story about G.K. Chesterton. A well-known London newspaper invited the prominent thinkers and writers of Chesterton’s day to answer the question, “What’s wrong with the world?” Chesterton’s succinct letter replied, “Dear sirs, I am, Sincerely, G.K, Chesterton.” Chesterton recognized that one of the chief arguments against Christianity is the fact that Christians, including you and I, can’t seem to live up to standards that they represent.
That said, I’m going to hesitate to rush to judgement here about the song “The Healer.” Though it appears that the songwriter has fabricated the back story of the song, it doesn’t mean that God can’t use it. One of the great things about the Christian faith is that it is centered on God’s use of completely fallen and broken mankind to accomplish His entirely good and perfect ends.
Maybe, instead of being disappointed in another Christian, we should rejoice in the miraculous way that God is going to use this situation to His glory.

Love your post on this man. God still cares about people and wants them healed, regardless of man. If he can use me, use a donkey, or use David, he can use anyone. Lets not all the enemy to crush peoples faith because a guy made a mistake. Grace Always Wins.

When everything is out of control, Brewster, it is a great comfort to know that God is at His best!
