		<description>I've found that one excellent reason to engage in these debates is to get a handle on the viewpoint of the other side.  Not so much for those doing the arguing - as you say, they are particularly entrenched.   But those "waiting in the wings" will likely have similar objections and questions.  By bringing those out in the open, an evangelist can better prepare to face those questions when they come from a seeker.</description>
